After collecting the PET bottles, they select the bottles to be used, which are made into bales and sorted according to color and material. The next step is to wash and grind them with a grinder. Grinding is a very important part of the process, as 20% of metal impurities can be removed already in this phase. This is where our company comes into play, as we can help ensure that metal impurities disappear as effectively as possible.
For this purpose, we recommend the following metal selectors/magnetic separators:

Magentic plate:
The magnetic plates are mostly filled with ferrite magnets, but depending on the needs of our customer, they can be stronger, which we make with neodymium magnets.
The magnetic plate is a very effective and inexpensive solution to get rid of metal impurities that travel on a conveyor belt. The speed of the conveyor belt when using a magnetic plate can be a maximum of 3m/sec. Otherwise, the magnetic plate will not be able to separate metal impurities from the material as quickly as expected.
The smaller magnetic plates can also be made so that the metal separator cleans itself automatically. Despite this, our company is most often asked for a magnetic metal separator that can be cleaned by hand.
The magnetic plate must be installed above the conveyor belt. To install the magnetic plate, you need a metal holder on which the magnetic plate can be hang using pipes or chains, the length of which must be adjustable.
It is very important for us to know how thick the material to be delivered is so that we can give you an accurate offer. The width of the magnetic sheet must match the width of the conveyor belt.
Magnetic rod:
The magnetic rods are filled with very strong neodymium magnets. They are made of stainless steel. It is one of our key metal separators that we offer for the removal of metal impurities. It can be used in both wet and dry environments. Its installation is very simple thanks to the threads on the ends (as required). If necessary, we can also make it as a grid metal separator.
The length of the magnetic bar can be any length. We prepare according to the needs of our customers. It can also be ordered with a non-magnetic part for easier cleaning.
After being cleaned of metal impurities, the PET bottles are sent to the first washing stage, where paper and surface impurities mechanically attached to the cuts are removed. The sections are then rinsed, dried and separated from the PET tags. After the washing phase, we get clean pieces.
