Description
The PK conical metal separator (also known as bullet magnet) is used to separate ferromagnetic particles from the vertical (gravitational) flow of materials with poor bulk (pouring) properties (e.g. corn, seeds, wood shavings, plastic granules, powder materials, pellet materials,… .).
Construction of the separator
The housing of the separator is made of stainless steel, which can be mounted on the given pipeline using flanges. The central part of the house is always tubular, but we can transform the inlet and outlet pipes into cube pipes if necessary. The cone inside the housing disperses the material evenly, then the material flows down past the magnets under the cone. If it is used for dry material, material throwing plates are placed inside the housing, which throw the material to the side of the cone (the magnetic part), thus increasing the selection. The inside of the housing is sufficiently expanded so that the cone does not obstruct the material flow. The selector is also available with ferrite and neodymium magnets.
Cleaning the metal separator
The metal separator should be installed in a place that is easily accessible, as cleaning is done manually (by hand). It is recommended to stop the material flow before cleaning (especially for the larger versions). The door is closed with buckles. There are three main pole points on the side of the magnet cone that attract the metal, these must be cleaned. Cleaning should be done with work gloves, as metal particles can easily injure hands. The cone is mounted on bearings, so even larger magnetic cones can be easily cleaned around.
